Term 2, at Clay club for kids! Starting May 4th to June 22nd.

This term offers an 7 week exploration of ceramics. We will complete a full work cycle, from conception, through construction and firing and glazing. All materials included.

GENTLY GUIDED, CREATIVE EXPRESSION, WITH CLAY, CONNECTING TO OUR OWN CREATIVITY, AS WE EXPLORE A VARIETY OF FOUNDATIONAL, HAND BUILDING TECHNIQUES, SURFACE DESIGN AND GLAZING. ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED. OUR ‘FUTURE ARTISAN’ PROGRAMS, OFFER A WHOLE FAMILY LEARNING OPPORTUNITY, WITH PARENTS WELCOME TO BOOK IN AND LEARN ALONGSIDE THEIR CHILDREN.

Monday - homeschool - 7 week program, undertaken over 8 weeks, to allow for processing of work.

Term 2 - weekly schedule -

May 4th - week 1 - making week

May 11th - week 2 - making week

May 18th - week 3 - making week

May 25th - week 4 - making week

June  1st - week 5 - making week

June 8th - week 6 - processing break, no class.

June 15th - week 7 - glazing

June 22nd - week 8 - receive finished work, finish any outstanding glazing, end of term celebration, with shared morning tea.

***A short break in our program is essential to get all the work processed and ready for glazing weeks.***

*any scheduled classes that fall on a public holiday, will go ahead, as we work through all public holidays.

Term 2, at Clay Club for Kids - 

Introduction to ceramic sculpture and hand building. Creating hand built forms in clay, exploring foundational construction techniques, including surface design and glazing. All materials included.

This program is developed for children and families, seeking a hands on/practical opportunity to connect through creative arts and nature. Ages 7 years and up.

$53 per session x 7 weeks. $371 total.

Reservation ticket - $55 (deducted from your term total).

Facilitated by, Zephyr Marama, an experienced ceramics facilitator and mixed media artist. Her practice includes ceramics, textile design, natural dyeing, botanical printing, traditional crafts and slow process herbalism.

At Clay club for kids, we offer ceramics programs for children and adults, held at the Cooroy permaculture gardens and pavilion. Under the large pavilion roof, we will enjoy the immersive medium of clay, at the beautiful permaculture gardens.

Reservation ticket - purchasing a reservation ticket will hold your child’s place in the program and allow you to pay the full ticket balance closer to the beginning of term. Term balance must be paid at program commencement. Once you’ve purchased a reservation ticket, you will be emailed an invoice, to be paid prior to program commencement.
